I guess like most guys I first identify with my career. I work in product development at a medium sized company. We design, manufacture and support a wide variety of reasonably sophisticated technology products. Our customers do business all over the world and we follow them wherever they go. It’s a great job and I count it among the many things I’m thankful for.
My interests outside of work are diverse. In no particular order, I enjoy international travel, hiking, biking, anything on the water, college football, cooking, reading, writing and shooting. I like art – particularly painting and photography. I’m easily entertained, but I like it best when it’s funny, brainy and different. Think “O Brother Where Art Thou?” more so than “Dumb and Dumber”.
I have smart co-workers with high integrity. I have great friends and family – better than I deserve. I have my daughter, The Greatest Kid in the World. I’ve got plenty.
I’ve also got a new home town in Dallas, and weaving myself into this place is what motivates me to blog.
